Information Security Consultant

We are working with a growing consultancy specialising in providing services in ISO27001 Accreditation, Cyber Essentials Certification, GDPR Compliance, Data Protection, and Penetration Testing.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Information Security Consultant - the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding their clients through the process of achieving ISO27001 accreditation, Cyber Essentials certification, GDPR compliance, and enhancing their overall data protection measures. This is a client-facing role that requires a strong understanding of Information Security principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Location: Remote
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum + benefits

Information Security Consultant - Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to assess their current Information Security practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement tailored strategies to help clients achieve ISO27001 accreditation, Cyber Essentials certification, and GDPR compliance.
• Provide guidance and support in implementing security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and protect sensitive data.
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert advice on Information Security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Deliver engaging and informative training sessions and workshops to educate clients on security awareness and compliance.

Information Security Consultant - Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Information Security consulting or related roles.
• Strong understanding of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR, and data protection regulations.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, gap analysis, and security audits.
• Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
