30,000 - 35,000 + Car Allowance + Annual Bonus
A leading UK construction contractor is looking for an Infrastructure Design Engineer with 2-4 years' design experience to join their team ideally in Manchester City Centre.
The company are a major nationwide contractor and the role will be working in the inter-office design team based in Manchester 2 days per week. The company work in a range of sectors including Energy, Nuclear and Rail.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a major consultancy environment or working for a contractor in a hands-on design capacity and will be keen to turn their hand to a variety of major, nationally significant infrastructure projects.
The ideal Infrastructure Design Engineer must be able to:

• Produce design deliverables to agreed customer requirements and to help enhance commercial profitability
• Produce reliable and detailed design solutions, calculations, reports and drawings Manage modelling analysis
• Promote and achieve
• Perfect Delivery throughout the team
• Be responsible for timely production and delivery of reliable design solutions, reports, specifications or drawings
• Design engineering for preliminary and detailed design

The ideal Infrastructure Design Engineer will have:

• At least 2 years of engineering design experience
• An aspiration for Chartered Engineer status
• Strong academic qualifications ideally a civil engineering (or equivalent) preferably with BEng (Hons) or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site or area Good supervision skills, with the ability to motivate self and small teams to perform specific tasks
• Good planning and time management skills Ability to contribute to meeting standards and specifications
• Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team
• Sound knowledge of construction practises and standards within their subject Specialist knowledge in chosen field
• Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills

The package available is excellent and is 30,000 - 35,000 as a basic salary, plus a car allowance of 4,500 plus a strong annual bonus scheme. Their benefits package is also available from day 1 of the job as opposed to after a probationary period.
