Are you the Lead in your IT department, or someone who is ambitious and wants to take the next step on their career? I am working with a local retail business here in Norfolk to find their Infrastructure Engineer to join a company focussed on evolving their technology department. They have made a recent transition to bring most things in-house, so you will be supported in all areas.

You'll be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT server and network infrastructure.

• Provide IT Support, quickly solve problems and issues "escalated" for resolution. Liaise with affected stakeholders, identifying the problem, devising a solution, and implementing a suitable fix.
• Monitor and maintain Network Components and Infrastructure, minimizing IT outages requires upkeep of the network infrastructure therefore this role handles updates, upgrades, and other maintenance tasks in both hardware and software areas. Additionally, this position is expected to look for ways to make the network more efficient, cost-effective, and secure.
• Become the named 'Security' individual in our department to ensure we are following best practice and that latest recommendations are implemented.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Ubiquiti networking, Veeam and Sophos.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 and Entra.
• Knowledge of maintaining VOIP telephony systems.
• Ideally knowledge of, or willingness to learn Microsoft Azure platform.
• Excellent communication skills.
