THE ROLE
Join our dynamic team within the cutting-edge Aviation Systems Division, where we take pride in delivering top-tier avionic solutions. We are currently expanding our business and seek a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure supporting aviation systems and customer installations.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and advancing the ongoing IT infrastructure for our Aviation Systems Division, ensuring seamless operation and support for mission-critical systems.
THE PERSON
We are seeking a proactive individual with up-to-date expertise in developing network solutions, aligning with the qualifications and experience outlined below.
Within the Aviation Systems Division, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
While the primary work location is at our company offices, this role will involve occasional visits to customer sites across the UK.
Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be considered advantageous:
- VMWare Certified Partner
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Veeam Certified Engineer
- Azure Infrastructure and Deployment Certified
Skills and Experience
Demonstrable experience in the following areas would be highly beneficial:
- 3rd Line infrastructure support and project delivery (minimum 2 years)
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
- PowerShell scripting
- Windows Server 2012R2+ administration
- Active Directory administration with Azure AD integration
- Cisco switching and routing
- Veeam backup and replication
- HP/Dell server hardware
- Data storage technologies (SAN/NAS)
- Network and information security protocols (IPSEC/SSL/Kerberos)
- IaaS, PaaS services (Azure)
