We are urgently seeking a Infrastructure Engineer for our client who are a Global IT Service Provider. This will be on a long term contract and onsite in Basingstoke and customer sites as needed by projects.
Job Description
We are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer with in-depth infrastructure skills to work as part of a team providing 3rd/4th line support. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you will have the chance to grow and build upon your existing knowledge and ability.
The role will involve:
* Covering a range of infrastructure support tasks including daily checks, password changes, user account management, troubleshooting issues and problems, regular system maintenance and infrastructure monitoring tasks.
* Responsibility for maintaining the day-to-day security of the environments. This includes monthly security patching as well as applying and managing anti-virus updates
* Working closely with a team of engineers and architects to support the Live Service in the transition from a legacy environment to a new mode of operation
Your experience:
*COTS Network Management Systems.
*Practical skills and knowledge in Networking, Infrastructure and Operating Systems.
*Knowledge of Network Management, and automation monitoring (either network or infrastructure)
*Experience of solutions utilizing PKI
Generalist of 3rd/4th line support and activities
*Formal technical documentation
