A leading provider of learning platforms is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to manage their technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all customer platforms run smoothly and updates are managed to a high standard. You’ll be responsible for infrastructure capacity, forward planning, and design.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical services budget, collaborating with appropriate subject matter experts.
- Actively participate in proposal writing and meetings to secure new business opportunities.
- Provide technical support to the sales team as needed.
- Coordinate with other managers to ensure timely and successful platform upgrades following new releases.
- Research and implement new technologies and trends to enhance services.
- Manage relationships with the data center provider and outsourced development partners.
- Lead and manage a small technical team, conducting regular performance reviews.
- Oversee the successful implementation of new client projects.
- Ensure support requests are handled to a high standard.
- Work with the data center provider to ensure the business's specialist infrastructure is secure, resilient, and high-performing

Education
- Educated to a degree level is desirable
Qualifications
- Certifications in relevant areas are desirable
Experience
- Previous experience as a Technical Line Manager or similar
- Experience with ‘open source’ tech stack
- Knowledge of web related technologies, e.g. JavaScript, CSS, PHP
- Well versed in Ubuntu, MySQL and Docker
- Experience with Microsoft server, and networking technologies desirable.
