The role covers a range of essential duties across the sales function, and will close collaboration with other departments, including Bids & Proposals, Order Desk, Pre-Sales Engineering, Customer Support and Product Marketing.
The Internal Sales Representative will also interact with customers and partners, to support the business in the territory.
Main Tasks and Duties
- Assist all sales activities listed below, across the assigned territory, helping the Business Development Director in achieving the order and profit targets:
- Facilitate pipeline management, working with the sales director to maintain the data integrity of CRM/ERP and forecasting.
- Engage actively with clients, customer, partners as well as internal stakeholders to solve problems and get things done.
- Support customers and partners across the region, ensuring they receive an exceptional level of service.
- Assist channel partners, enabling them to obtain all the pricing and technical information they need.
- Manage general queries raised from customers and partners.
- When necessary, travel and visit current and potential customers.
- Provide regular feedback to the Business Development Director, and the sales team on partner status.
- Help identify opportunities for additional support.
- Be the inside go-to person for the region, with whom customers and partners can communicate with.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales support or Sales administration.
- Proven understanding of sales, operations and marketing departments within an organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both external and internal customers.
- Good level of IT skills and experience, including Excel based tools, CRM and standard Office software.
- Ability to learn new programs and applications as required.
- Ability to understand and forecast customers' needs together with the sales team.
