Inside Sales Representative – Hybrid

Location: Southampton, hybrid
Salary: £25,725 - £26,725 per annum, DOE + up to 10% bonus
Contract: Permanent, Full time

For over thirty years we have provided specialist services for the identification, analysis, prevention and management of fires, explosions and accidental chemical releases in the chemical and process industry.

Within the UK the company has fully equipped ISO & GLP compliant laboratory facilities on the outskirts of Southampton, in the beautiful setting of Southampton Science Park, and we are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join us.

You will support the Inside Sales team in achieving the objective of acquiring new business and maintaining existing customers thereby delivering sustainable market growth for DOPS.

In addition to this as our Inside Sales Representative you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately creating customer quotations for Business Development Executives, Laboratory Managers, and Consulting Team
  • Maintaining client and contact information within Salesforce and ERP systems
  • Liaising with Global service Divisions and provide quote support in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicating with PMO team to recognize pipeline work for the planning board
  • Providing training for new staff in the use of Salesforce software and following SOPs for the Inside sales team
  • Supporting BD on tenders as required
  • Supporting BD in ERP analytics to develop monthly reports, sales reports and sales forecasting
  • Supporting Inside sales Manager in reviewing QMS procedures/processes/forms to ensure they are kept updated
  • Ensure that you and your team are aware of your responsibilities to uphold and enforce good health and safety practice at CTL as defined for Employees, Team Leaders and Department Managers in document HS002 to meet the objectives of the company policy in HS001.

In order to be successful in this role it would be great if you had:

  • A track record in business development and consulting services, particularly in automotive, sustainability services and / or heavy industry – although this part is not essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Strong organisational planning skills
  • Ability to think logically and problem solve
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of databases
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in working with large amounts of data

It would be great if you were competent in the following systems:

  • Windows 11
  • MS Word (including mail merge functions)
  • Outlook Email
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • MS Teams
  • SalesForce
  • DAP Software including CRM
  • Social Meda – predominantly LinkedIn
