SalaryWhat is the Role for the Field Installation Engineer?
As an Installations Specialist, you will be integral to the hands-on deployment and operational success of our technology solutions across client sites. You will work under the guidance of the Engineering Team, focusing on the physical setup of hardware and the initial install of software systems.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities for an Installtion Engineer
Install, configure, and test hardware systems, including networking devices, PCs, mobile devices, AV, and telephony equipment.
Work closely with the engineers to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
Ensure all installations meet our high standards for performance and reliability.
Conduct on-site inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation phase.
Provide detailed feedback and documentation to the Head of Engineering to support the 3rd line escalation process.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients on site.
Manage and log all on-site work accurately in the project management system to ensure traceability and accountability.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest technologies and installation techniques.
What will You Bring as an Installtion Engineer?
Experience:
Technical Installation: Proven experience in the installation and configuration of IT and telecommunications equipment, including but not limited to networking devices, PCs, mobile devices, and telephony equipment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, such as IP networking, firewalls, and wireless technologies. Familiarity with different operating systems including Windows and MacOS is preferred.
Field Experience: Experience working in the field, managing onsite installations, and dealing directly with client issues during the setup phase.
Documentation and Reporting: Experience in providing detailed installation feedback, creating documentation, and maintaining project logs for effective communication and follow-up.
