Instructional Designer
Contract: Permanent
Location: Preston
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 DOE
Hours: Office hours - hybrid and flexible

Main Responsibilities of the Instructional Designer:

· Writing fresh, creative, innovative and accessible learning solutions for a wide variety of teams and subject matters
· Creating storyboards and scripts that are both engaging and informative
· Working alongside other members of the eLearning Team to deliver learning solutions
· Delivering content design that supports a blended learning approach including Video, animation, Voice Over, SCORM modules and HTML5
· Working with Stakeholders and Subject Matters Experts to understand their business needs to deliver solutions that demonstrate value
· Managing multiple stakeholders and projects
· An awareness of creating instructional materials that could be translated into multiple languages
· Adhering to our company brand identity and standard

Essential requirements of the Instructional Designer:

· Extensive writing, story-boarding, and verbal communication skills
· Identify and write learning objectives that are measurable, achievable, and relevant
· Experience of technical writing, course design, development and evaluation methods within a virtual/e-learning environment
· A working knowledge of industry standard eLearning development/authoring software tools (such as GoMo/Articulate) and knowledge of mobile learning principles
· Demonstrable experience of using established eLearning methodologies, current research, theory and practice of instructional design and web based eLearning standards and specifications (SCORM, XAPI, HTML)
· Have an awareness of developing eLearning content for a range of people with different abilities (accessibility)
· Experience of designing and creating digital content using the Adobe Creative Suite
· Degree educated
· CIPD Level 3 or equivalent (or above) Digital Learning Design Qualification e.g. Level 3
