Insurance Specialist Legal Counsel

Become the newest member of this innovative company's in-house legal team as their Insurance Specialist Legal Counsel, working largely remotely. This Sussex-based team's looking for someone with a legal background in insurance-related matters to flex their legal prowess and embrace the fast-paced dynamism of working in-house.

This Insurance Specialist Legal Counsel role will enable you to utilise your experience in a new and progressive context.

Our client is a market-leading company with offices in Haywards Heath, Manchester, and abroad. As an Insurance Specialist Legal Counsel, you will support their Head of Legal by dealing with all aspects of insurance distribution advice, demonstrating your project management skills, and advising various stakeholders in the business.

This Insurance Specialist Legal Counsel role will include:

• Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting all manner of agreements and policies, including advising on delegated insurance arrangements, distribution deals, and complex claims queries
• Dealing with sporadic queries from across the business, including key stakeholders such as the Underwriting, Finance, Tax, and Claims teams

Ideally, you will have:

• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience
• A strong background in insurance distribution, with specific expertise in the contexts of both broker and insurer
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate across all levels of the organisation
• Familiarity working with a regulated market would be advantageous.
