Our client, a growing and established business in Polegate, are looking for an Insurance (Renewals) Underwriter to become a valuable member of their friendly and hardworking team.
The ideal candidate will be keen to gain new experience in their career and should have a good working knowledge of Ms Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities as an Insurance Underwriter
- Provide help and advice to Sales Advisors in respect of underwriting queries
- Ensuring our companies Insurer partners remain happy and develop profitable accounts
- Underwrite all NB and Renewal risks
- Assist in renewal retention as a company and within specific underwriting deals and partners
- Develop relationships with all Insurers at the required level
- Implement process to ensure we can provide proof to Insurers of underwriting of every risk
- Monitor the development of accounts and profitability
- Ensure the split of business is at manageable levels
- Further develop underwriting knowledge
- Spot new product areas and ranges for the business to develop into
- Propose and develop new product ideas with Insurers
- Complete regular reviews of the market in terms of competitiveness and feedback through management meetings
Experience / Skills
- At least three years of insurance experience
- Dynamic, self–motivated, and enthusiastic
- A positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
- Keen for new experience, responsibility, and accountability
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- The ability to be flexible, decisive, and quick–thinking
Job Title: Insurance Underwriter
Location: Polegate
Salary: 30,000 per annum
Full Time: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (rare Saturday may be required)
