Job description

About us and the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly regarded Integrated Disability Service Early Years’ Team and be part of Warwickshire’s SEND journey.

We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic Specialist Teacher to work with children with SEND, their families and their EY provision.

As a specialist teacher, you will have a busy and varied day, every day. You will provide support, advice and training to settings to meet the needs of children with SEND, empowering everyone to develop inclusive practice, ensuring good outcomes. You will provide advice and support to families sharing and developing ideas to support their child. You will also work alongside other professionals from Health, Social Care and Education, employing Early Support principles.

The successful applicants will work mainly in the East and South of the county but will need to demonstrate that they can travel effectively countywide.

The IDS 0-5 team combines Specialist Teachers, Child Development Advisers and Childcare Co-ordinators, who support children with a range of SEND in their home prior to nursery, in their EY setting and transitioning into Reception.
