Role Description

Roke Intelligence are seeking an Intelligence Analyst to support the full spectrum of threat analysis and investigatory work across commercial and government sectors. This full-time Intelligence Analyst position will comprise of a combination of home working and office working at our Gloucester office.

The role will require ownership and management of all source intelligence assessments and the associated reporting structures and alerts. You will regularly conduct open-source intelligence investigations, including imagery analysis, and must demonstrate an ability to conduct research and analysis on multiple sources of information.
Responsibilities will include:

Management and provision of weekly, monthly and annual operational reporting structures and intelligence reports created for specific customer requests.
Timely delivery of security alerts and risk monitoring for geopolitical events and customer led requirements.
Identify, collect and monitor new information sources to collate and create analytical products.
Operate alongside in house data scientists to create and refine operational platforms and services from a user perspective.
Establish productive working relationships and networking streams.
Contribute to company social media content and press releases with relevant intelligence driven assessments and analysis.
Port risk assessments and reporting.

Requirements

You must have relevant business analysis/intelligence experience, with excellent people skills and the credibility and ability to work with and influence at every level of both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, oral and written communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and great team player.
Clear communication of data, analysis and risk, including source classification.
Can-do mind-set and attention to detail with the ability to challenge assumptions and convention.
Experience working with Microsoft office suite and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience in OSINT and GEOINT techniques.
A strong understanding of global geopolitics.
A strong desire for professional excellence and an adaptability under pressure.

Skills

Research

  • Experience conducting OSINT research and the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from a variety of open sources and open source tools.
  • Conduct research on a variety of topics using various tools and techniques. Strong research skills are essential for gathering and evaluating information from different sources and integrating this data together.
  • Proficiency in social media monitoring, search engine optimization and analysis tools.
  • Have an understanding of, or a willingness to learn about, copyright law, bringing awareness to what data sources we can/can’t use.

Analysis

  • You must have relevant business analysis/intelligence experience, with excellent people skills and the credibility and ability to work with and influence at every level of both internal and external stakeholders.

Data wrangling

  • Know how to import large datasets from various file formats, clean and organise the data, identify and handle missing or inconsistent entries, manipulate the data to extract meaningful insights and have an understanding of the most efficient methods of storing large volumes of data.

Data visualisation

  • Knowledge of visualising large datasets both using charts and geospatial techniques.

Communication skills

  • Communicate findings in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally, to team members and stakeholders.
  • Commercial and communication skills to talk to data providers, partners and suppliers.


Report Writing

  • Skills in report writing and information collation - with the ability to summarise a collection of information on a single topic - producing a curated piece.

Management

  • Ability to be a self-starter, manage own time and workload effectively.

Flexibility

  • Geospatial intelligence is a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry, and Intelligence Analysts need to be adaptable to new tools, technologies, and methods.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Higher education proficiency in a related field such as Security Intelligence and Diplomacy, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Politics, Law.
  • Experienced in the use of Esri ArcGIS.
  • Hold current UK SC or DV clearance.
  • Completed Imagery Intelligence Analysis Course (DIIAC)
  • Completed Defence Intelligence Analysis Module (DIAM)
