Service Care, in collaboration with Sussex Police, is excited to invite applications for the role of Intelligence Analyst for Operation Bramber.
Join our team and play a crucial role in supporting this investigation into potential offences of Manslaughter by Gross Negligence and Corporate Manslaughter by Gross Negligence at a large medical establishment in Sussex.
These serious criminal offences carry sentencing powers of life imprisonment for offenders.
As part of our dedicated team, you will be instrumental in thoroughly investigating allegations, bringing potential offenders to justice, and ensuring the safety of the general public.
Operation Bramber is a close-knit team of Detectives and Criminal Investigators dedicated to this investigation, focusing on multiple cases where concerns exist over the treatment and care provided to patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Intelligence Analysts provide sophisticated analysis that supports officers and staff in effective decision-making around complex problems, critical when policing is being asked to do more with less.
You will advise and assist in all aspects of this investigation by providing strategic and tactical analysis of intelligence and evidence.
Identifying offenders, series and trends, information gaps, and suggesting opportunities to gather intelligence and evidence are key components of this role, contributing to the progress of the investigation, problem-solving, and reducing threat, harm, and risk.
Please note that due to the nature of this job, there will be times you may be exposed to investigations of a distressing nature.

Skills & Experience: We are looking for candidates with the following essential skills and experience, clearly evidenced within your application form:

• Graduate calibre or equivalent qualification, or with proven and well-evidenced experience of crime/intelligence analysis in a relevant field.


• A high standard of problem-solving skills.


• Well-developed computer skills, including the ability to learn bespoke systems, and design and develop recording and analysis frameworks using databases, spreadsheets, and other analytical tools.


• The ability to use logic and reasoning to influence others professionally, persuade people using powerful arguments, identify clear aims in negotiations, and achieve satisfactory outcomes.


• Previous experience of interpreting and evaluating large sets of qualitative and quantitative data to extract salient points, develop inferences, and make recommendations.


• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present appropriately to groups or individuals, including senior managers and partner agencies.


• The ability to plan ahead, manage and prioritize your workload unsupervised, and respond flexibly to rapidly changing demands.


• The post-holder must take personal responsibility for their actions and for resolving issues or problems that arise, being focused on achieving high-quality results and developing skills and knowledge.


• The ability to work calmly and effectively, especially under pressure.


• A flexible approach towards achieving team objectives and a willingness to undertake a wide range of duties.
