We are seeking an Intelligence Disclosure Officer . If you thrive in complex environments, have a passion for legal compliance, and possess the skills to navigate sensitive intelligence matters, this role could be for you.
As an Intelligence Disclosure Officer, you will hold a pivotal role in fulfilling our legal obligations under the Criminal Procedure and Investigation Act (CPIA) 1996. Your role will extend to both family and civil disclosure, ensuring that sensitive intelligence is handled with the utmost care.
What Will You Do and Need:
Expert Guidance: Provide support and guidance to partners and customers within court settings (Criminal, Civil, Family) based on your specialist knowledge, including presenting evidence at court.
CHIS Management: Manage CHIS related intelligence and produce disclosure documents for the CPS, and Counsel, ensuring compliance with CPIA whilst maintaining the safety of sources.
Relevancy Assessment: Offer guidance regarding the relevancy of sensitive intelligence. Manage sensitive and highly sensitive material and maintain data integrity.
Intelligence Grading: Understand intelligence grading (5x5x5 & 3x5x2)
Information Evaluation: Collect, collate, and evaluate data from the Force Intelligence System to assess associations and implications, safeguarding ongoing investigations.
Knowledge and Experience: Possess strong critical thinking and communication skills to enable you to articulate complex disclosure issues. Use your comprehensive knowledge and skills to provide accurate information related to sensitive material and disclosure. Experience within investigative, legal or intelligence roles are an advantage. Must have work-based experience managing time critical and sensitive data with the ability to work alone. Decision making and the ability to challenge standards is a key requirement.
Computer Literacy: Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and master relevant Force IT systems.
