Interconnectors Customer Manager

As an Interconnectors Customer Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with the existing customer base, as well as seeking out new customers to trade on our portfolio of Interconnectors. This role requires both an internal and external focus as you will need to provide insights into our commercial strategy to ensure the success of the Interconnector business whilst managing customer needs.
In this role, you will have direct line management responsibility for a team of six and will also work closely other functions within the Interconnectors’ team.
This role is based from Warwick, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. We’d hope to see you in the Warwick office one or two days a week, or more often if that works best for you. Occasional travel is required to our operational sites, customer premises and trade conferences both in the UK and Europe.
Key accountabilities
- Manage the existing customer base of 70+ diverse customers across Europe, North America and the Middle East.
- Grow the existing customer base by identifying new potential customers to build a future pipeline.
- Drive excellent customer service by understanding customer needs and advocating for them within the Interconnector business and with our partners and system providers.
- Deliver customer insights to the business to help shape products and services offered by the Interconnectors.
- Deliver the marketing strategy, including management of our websites and hosting customer forums/events and hospitality.
About you
- Good commercial acumen, knowledge and experience of the GB energy market.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to interact and operate with diverse Customers and Stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and adapt the style of information to suit a range of audiences.
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner across multiple teams to deliver successful outcomes for the business.
- A confident and credible spokesperson for the business when representing the company externally.
- Deliver high quality work under pressure and on time.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and develop team members.

What you'll get
A competitive salary between £55,000 – £70,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
