Interface Design Engineer

Interface Design Engineer - 12 month contract - Monday to Friday - Outside IR35 - North East

I am currently looking for an Interface Design Engineer for a hybrid role in the North East of England. This person will need to be able to travel to the head office for a few days a week.

We are looking for someone who has T&D experience , NG experience or renewables' experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Design Engineer with schematic and circuit diagrams.

• Collaborate with the Design Engineers to produce associated drawings.

• Integrate new designs into existing drawings into CAD.

• Assist and produce drawings for substations systems and construction boxes for your clients so they can improve the transmission systems to cope with the future demands.

• Implement bespoke equipment, s the drawings for the Grid.

• Converting all the drawings from the paper designs onto AutoCAD

Experience:

• Experience in the transmission and distribution or the renewables sector

• Experience working either for or alongside National Grid.

• Must have an Electrical Engineering background.

• A solid understanding of the technical specifications relating to the substations and National Grid • Experience with Transformer replacement , CBF , SGT and DARs

Logistics:

• Office-based with an option for hybrid work.

• 12 months rolling

• Outside IR35

• 40 hour per week. Possibility to condense this into 4 days. Core hours are between 9 am – 3 pm.

• 1 pm finish on a Friday
