Interim Accountant

Our client employs 240 staff locally and offers a wide variety of programmes over a number of sectors. They are seeking additional resource to support the Head of Finance due to project work within the finance team.
As an Interim Accountant joining this team, you will focus on managing month-end journals (accruals, prepayments), closing the books, review against budget, month-end reporting to budget holders - variance analysis and commentary, business partnering/monthly reviews with budget holders - advising on commercial/financial matters, budget management/forecasting, overseeing closure of ledgers and leading the finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of working in a similar capacity with a strong background in management accounts, you will have experience partnering with stakeholders at varying levels, understanding of fundamentals at a transactional level - journals, accruals, prepayments etc, exceptional attention to detail, and a logical/methodical way of working, along with fantastic communication skills and organisational skills.
