Interim Accountant - Immediate Start - 4 Months

Position: Interim Accountant Location: Central Sheffield (hybrid): Temporary (4-6 months)

We are recruiting for a well-established Sheffield based business committed to excellence and innovation. Their central Sheffield office is a hub of activity, conveniently located with excellent transport links and pride themselves on collaborative and inclusive work environment.  This role is to assist the finance department with a busy period and is available for an Immediate Start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all financial transactions are correctly processed and appropriately reflected in the General Ledgers (GLs).
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and reporting variances in a timely manner.
• Adhere to month-end procedures and timescales to meet Group reporting commitments.
• Collaborate with the overseas Shared Service Centre, liaising with them regarding the delivery of their Accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting requirements.
• Support Group and local Statutory audits.
• Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision-making.
• Support Group acquisition integration work on an ad hoc basis.
• Handle ad hoc projects as required by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (or part qualified.)
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a dynamic business environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to hit the ground running
