Our client is a well known Transport business who are growing strength-to-strength and embakring on a number of exciting changes.
This role is paying in the £35,000 - £40,000 pa range and is hybrid working - 2/3 days in the office with FREE travel on a certain rail network!
The role supports a small team to deliver contracts across a wide range of major areas including operations, services and information technology.
- Build an agreed and detailed procurement program, including timelines, for procurement across categories such as marketing and IT
- Proposing and agreeing procurement strategies and obtaining the necessary support of stakeholders
- Manage full end-to-end tendering process from identifying requirements, running tenders, collating and analysing quotes, onboarding suppliers under frameworks and expediting services
- Provide regular progress, reports and other updates to stakeholders.
Ideal candidate:
- Previous experience of working within a busy procurement department, that can facilitate tenders and who can build excellent working relationships with stakeholders
- Experience in procurement within a similar group of indirect categories
- Good all-round communicator with sound verbal and written skills.
- Familiarity with the Public Procurement Regulations or, the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 is ideal but not essential
- Has reasonable knowledge of Contract Law
- Is experienced in working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and managing positive relationships.
- Has experience of production of Invitation to Tender (ITT) and evaluation documentation, negotiation of contract terms and conditions in compliance with standard documents
You must be able to commit to the full contract which is a minimum of 15 months and be able to travel to York on a weekly basis.
