Reed Finance are working with a leading Distribution company recruiting for a Interim Branch Accountant to join their fast-paced accounts team. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting transactions for several branches, as well as supporting the annual budget process. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role.
Day to Day of the Role:- Reconcile bank accounts weekly and manage credit card postings and reconciliations.
- Produce and submit weekly Treasury Reports to Group.
- Handle month-end responsibilities, including period-end nominal ledger entries, accruals, reconciliations, and production of branch packs with statistics in Excel.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, commission and rebate calculations, and reconciliations.
- Support branch purchase ledger and sales ledger functions with queries.
- Oversee the expense ledger, ensuring invoices are coded correctly and manage petty cash and recharge invoices.
- Provide analysis through weekly sales reports, ad hoc analysis requests, and monthly sales analysis.
- Assist with payroll data input, time sheet calculations, and GDPR compliance.
- Prepare VAT returns for head office and produce ad hoc reports as needed.
- Experience working in a fast-moving accounts team.
- Understanding of all aspects of an accounts department.
- High level of Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build strong business relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and flexibility.
- Ability to use own initiative and adapt to changes in the industry.
- Good team working skills.
- Qualified Accountant or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
