Role Profile
Calling all Buyers / Purchasing Administrators who are immediately available to undertake a temporary contract in the Warrington area!
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a thriving manufacturing/engineering business in Warrington, playing your part within their busy Purchasing team. Due to long term leave, the team require a helping hand in raising purchase orders and ensuring material supply to multi–site locations. The contract is likely to run between 3 and 6 months although there could well be the opportunity for a further extension depending on business / team circumstances.
What will the role involve?
Purchasing consumables, MRO items and component parts for a number of manufacturing/engineering sitesSourcing suitable suppliers and negotiating pricesConverting purchase requisitions and raising purchase orders on the systemExpediting deliveries with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full
Ideal skills and experience
Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain roleExposure to purchasing for manufacturing / engineering, ideally sourcing MRO items / consumables / component partsAbility to thrive in a fast–paced, high volume environmentGood systems skills and attention to detailConfidence to negotiate with suppliers, to improve price and lead times
Remuneration
25,000 – 35,000 (equivalent hourly rate depending on experience)
