A major public-sector organisation in Liverpool is seeking to recruit an Interim Category Manager to look after the Social Care Category. The anticipated duration is 3-6 months and this role falls inside scope of IR35.
Your new role
The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in strategically managing the expenditure within the Social Care category. You will support the Senior Category Manager to deliver on commercial targets, and you will strive to deliver value for money within the adults\' and children\'s Social Care spend. The Category Manager will prepare and negotiate contract agreements and will provide procurement advice to stakeholders within the organisation. You will prepare tender documentation and manage full above-threshold processes in a compliant manner.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Prior public-sector procurement experience
- Experience within the Social Care procurement category
- PCR2015 knowledge
- MCIPS or working towards would be desirable
- Available for an interim contract opportunity
What you\'ll get in return
