Job description

A business based in Milton Keynes are looking to recruit an Interim Commercial Finance Analyst to partner with the commercial and category teams. This will be on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis paying £60-65k with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To be a key business partner with Sales and Category teams to drive improved commercial plans
  • Coach and support finance for non-finance development
  • Key partner in customer tenders, and supporting account managers to deliver margin and category targets
  • Support build of month end/forecasts/budget and 5-year plan
  • Review categories and margin development with category team and sales managers/directors, challenge and support them to improve
  • Monitor and provide post promotional campaign analysis to maximise volume and margin growth
  • Monthly sales performance monitoring v's KPIs
  • Driving category analysis to improve category and customer margins and price analysis
  • Support sales in large tender process
  • Accurate reviews and cost control of customer activity, including rebates, campaign discounts
  • Generation of sales reports
  • Maintain new business opportunity tracker incorporating monthly sales team review
  • Analyse customer and market trends, identify, and improve margin opportunities
  • Support category initiatives and financially evaluate activities

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and customers within all levels of the business
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and presentation skills
  • To be able to effectively influence both with customers and internally
  • Ability to analyse data to identify opportunities, trends and issues and develop appropriate action plans
  • Good administrative and IT skills particularly in MS Word, Excel, Power point
  • Sound knowledge and experience with sales budgeting, forecasting and P&Ls
  • Strong commercial understanding and awareness
  • Partnering commercial business teams

This is a 12 month FTC based in Milton Keynes with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. The salary is £60-65k depending on experience.
