Interim Deputy Company Secretary
Fixed term contract until end of Feb 2025
3 days per week, 22.5 hours

Remote working plus 2 days per month at our London office
About the role
You will support the Group Company Secretary in the delivery of company secretarial and governance responsibilities across the organisation.
The individual in this role will be expected to:
- co-ordinate board and committee meeting administration services
- provide company law and corporate governance advice to colleagues
- monitor the impact of changing governance, statutory and regulatory requirements on Anchor
- identify and implement actions to achieve compliance and maintain best practice governance standards
You will
- Act as Secretary to specified committees and deputise on Board matters;
- Manage/support the Company Secretary in Board recruitment, appointment, induction and development activities.
- Support and/or manage governance advisory projects, including Board and Auditor evaluations, benchmarking exercises and the drafting of Annual Report disclosures;
- Manage all statutory and governance requirements of AHG’s subsidiary entities.
- Manage Continuing Obligation requirements under the Listing Rules, including management of the Disclosure Committee and the governance requirements of half yearly reporting;
- Support the Group’s growth agenda by providing corporate governance and company law advice and transactional support on M&A and JV matters;
About you
You will need:
- Company Secretarial experience in a dynamic and fast-paced business
- Sound knowledge of UK company law and corporate governance standards
- Experience of co-ordinating NED recruitment and induction programmes
- Associate or Fellow membership of the Chartered Governance Institute or similar evidence of your professional knowledge and experience.
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of community benefit societies and charitable objectives
- Experience in the Housing Association or Care sectors
