Interim Financial Accountant

Role: Statutory Accountant
Type: 4 month FTC
Location: Worksop (Hybrid working, 2 days require in the office minimum)
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

We are excited to be working with a well established business based in Worksop as they look to appoint a Financial Accountant to support them on a 4 month contract. As a Financial Accountant, you will report to the Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering financial accounting support services to the Group. The main responsibilities include producing annual statutory financial statements for multiple group companies, ensuring timely delivery to auditors, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with internal teams for tax-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of Statutory Accounts for up to 70 group companies.
• Timely delivery of draft and final statutory accounts to auditors.
• Identify and implement improvements to the current process.
• Work closely with auditors, providing answers to queries and processing agreed amendments.
• Collaborate with the internal tax team, producing tax packs, and aiding in completing corporation tax returns.
• Generate ixbrl files for the internal tax team.
• Perform reconciliations between statutory financial statements and underlying records.
• Agree with relevant finance departments on adjustments to ensure alignment with final statutory financial statements.

Key requirements: 

• Available immediately 
• Ideally part qualified and currently studying towards your ACCA / CIMA 
• Proven experience working in a busy and fast paced environment
