Interim Group Accountant

Partner Financial are engaged with a PE backed property business, with a turnover over £200M. The company is facing a moment of expansion, as their strategy has revolutionized the sector, and their continued focus on innovation positions the brand at the forefront of its market and main competitors.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to lead the Group function of the business, offering significant exposure to the senior leadership across the Group, and creating a best-in-class function that can support the growth of the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading the preparation of the monthly management accounts, as well as the year end and half year Group consolidated accounts
• Managing and developing a team of finance professional ensuring collaboration and alignment on priorities are met
• Owning the consolidation of statutory financial statements and tax returns for the Group
• Being the primary contact on the consolidated results for the Group for the external auditors
• Owning the Balance Sheet and all related processes, this includes working capital, driving improvements to cash conversion and providing insightful reporting
• Working alongside the Group Finance Director, driving the correct accounting and integration for new acquisitions
• Challenging and transform the way the finance team operates by streamlining and automating processes
• Ensure all financial controls are maintained to the highest standards, & the custodian of the Group Financial Policies

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA) from a top 10 Accountancy firm
• Experience working with Group environments in a similar sector would be advantageous
• Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence
• Proactive individual with an inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement
• Excellent IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes

• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
