Interim Head Of Finance

Reed Finance are recruiting an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join a fast paced and growing SME in the Brighton area.

This role will oversee all financial areas of the business, provide in-depth commercial analysis and collaborate with different departments to achieve ambitious growth targets. Due to the sector our client operates in, a previous background in project accounting and experience within either an agency, consultancy or professional services background is essential.

As Interim Head of Finance, key duties will include:

• Managing the financial growth of the business, including forecasting and budgeting.
• Preparing analysis to aid commercially viable decisions and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support growth.
• Guiding project management financing and addressing challenges.
• Leading the finance function, including management accounts, payroll and bank payments.
• Managing cost control, budget requests, supplier management and financial governance.
• Handling WIP, accrued and deferred income calculations.
• Overseeing risk and overall compliance.

The ideal Head of Finance will be:

• A qualified (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) accountant with a number of years’ finance leadership experience within SMEs.
• Experience with all aspects of project accounting.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced leadership role with high-level financial acumen.
• A reliable finance business partner capable of supporting a high-growth, fast paced SME to thrive and succeed.
• Available immediately or at very short notice.

This is a rare opportunity to join an exciting industry leader and support their next phase of growth, initially on a 6 month FTC however could well be extended or made permanent. Our client operate on a flexible, hybrid basis and are easily accessible via car or public transport.
