Interim Payroll Supervisor

Trinity House Group is working with one of our long-standing clients that urgently require an interim Payroll Supervisor. This role would be a fully remote position with occasional travel (one day a month) into Birmingham central. Interested professionals must be immediately available. This role will be 6 months initially and ideally on a temporary to permanent basis. The role would suit an individual who has a combination of technical and leadership skills in a payroll function.
The Role
As the interim Payroll Supervisor you will support the Head of Payroll and business controllers to ensure a smooth and efficient payroll function. The role will be responsible for the management of a small team and oversee the processing of payroll for multiple businesses across the group. Duties will include: -

• Overseeing the smooth running of payroll for multiple sites (circa 1500-2000 employees)
• New starters, leavers, contract changes
• Ensure data integrity to include salaries, sick pay, salary sacrifice, overtime, company vehicles etc.
• Monthly payroll review and summary
• P14/60 and 35 completion and distribution
• Ensure inter department liaison to include finance, operations, IT, staff and HR.
• Production of quality and meaningful MI in regard to bonuses, absence, headcount, salary sacrifice etc
• Staff development and resource planning
• Raise and issue monthly payslips.
• Ensuring all payroll systems and controls are continually reviewed and developed.

The Candidate
As the successful interim Payroll Supervisor you will have/be:

• Extensive understanding of payroll to include employment, tax and payroll laws.
• Prior experience of processing multi company/site payrolls
• Proven history of supervising and developing a small team.
