Interim Senior Financial Accountant

Are you a Financial Accountant looking to join a well known and respected employer? Do you have experience of running a year end process? Robertson Bell are working on behalf of a large and well known not for profit organisation in the South of England to recruit an Interim Senior Financial Accountant. The role joins for a period of circa 6 months, with the potential to be extended and option to go permanent if desired by both parties. They are offering hybrid working with two days per week in the office. The main responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant are: Lead the year end for the organisation. Lead on all VAT related matters. Oversee the work of more junior Financial Accountants in the team. Ensure all reconciliations have been completed and that variances are investigated and explored. The Senior Financial Accountant role gets to work with an experienced Deputy Director of Finance who enjoys to develop staff. The successful candidate will: Be an established and experienced Financial Accountant. Be able to lead a yearend process. The client is willing to consider someone who has not done this but able to step up into it. Be immediately available or on a short notice period. No previous not for profit or public sector is required making this an attractive opportunity for someone looking to join this challenging yet rewarding sector.
