Interim Senior Governance Manager / Company Secretariat - Professional Body - Central London / Hybrid Working - cGBP50k-GBP55k - 6 month FTC - Part Time Considered
We're looking for an immediately available interim Senior Governance Manager / Company Secretariat professional with experience of complex governance matters, interpretation of governing and legal documents,to join a large professional body in Central London on a 6 month FTC (with potential for extension).
The InterimSeniorGovernance Manager will develop the governance function for the organisation's corporate governance frameworks, proactively engaging with and influencing boards and committees to implement and embed governance improvements, monitor and report compliance status and recommend actions to support future strategies and approaches.
In a nutshell: We're looking for someone with experience of running virtual Annual General Meetings and elections with a provider such as Civica or My Voice or similar. Experience in a professional body, membership association is advantageous.
You will ideally have experience of implementing constitutional rules and regulations (i.e. for elections and AGMs) and maintaining systems to demonstrate compliance.
Key responsibilities as the Interim Senior Governance Manager will include:
- Assisting in providing solution-orientated technical advice to governance committees and colleagues regarding current governance matters
- Managing the organisation and delivery of the organisation's corporate elections
- Managing the organisation and delivery of annual and other general meetings (in-person and online), utilising technology to increase member participation and voting
- Providing a professional secretariat service - organising and minuting meetings and assisting with reporting, actions and projects
- Undertaking effective communication with members to explain governance developments, influencing support for changes and encouraging a collaborative culture

What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar governance / company secretariat role
- Experience in complex governance matters and interpretation of governing and legal documents
- Experience in supporting committees and corporate governance functions
- Experience in organising Annual General Meetings and elections with a provider such as Civica or My Voice (or similar)
- Experience of implementing constitutional rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to mediate in challenging situations to achieve consensus and positive outcomes
- Good research capabilities
- Highly organised nature with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- IT literate with excellent MS Office skills
- Available immediately and able to commit to a 6 month assignment
