About the client
MRG Interim Executives are seeking an Interim Senior Project to deliver a range of estate development schemes for a prestigious University in London.
Accountabilities
Working within this University’s estates team, accountabilities to include: -

1. Project Manage a range of estate development/construction programmes ranging from minor works through to major works, capital development, refurbishments, adaptations and maintenance packages.
2. Working across a diverse campus you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to required standards and on budget.
3. Project manage building schemes across the University’s estate which will include but is not limited to libraries, laboratories, student halls, sports facilities, operational buildings and lecture theatre’s
4. Procurement and appointment of contractors
5. Project finance and budgeting
6. Technical liaison with architects and consultancies
7. Management of external contractors

Candidate Requirements

1. Recognised professional qualification such as CIOB or RICS or working towards
2. Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field of study such as quantity surveying or construction
3. Proven experience in a client-side project management role either directly working through a consultancy
4. Proven experience in a Senior Project management role within the public sector or higher education
5. Willingness to travel to London as required
6. Available to start at short notice
