Interim Year-End Accountant

My client provides much needed support to children, adults, and their families, facing the challenge of living with a learning disability. Delivering a wide range of services including residential accommodation, short-break facilities, as well as a variety of support groups, they care for the whole family as well as the individual.

With year-end fast approaching, my client is keen to secure additional resource for the busy finance team. Reporting into the Head of Finance, key responsibilities will include:

• Support with the preparation of year end statutory accounts – financial reporting and analysis, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet.
• Working with finance colleagues on information required for internal and external stakeholder reporting.
• Responsible for preparing analysis to support the statutory disclosures.
• Handling external audit queries with auditors

The successful candidate will be fully qualified and have previously taken responsibility for the full year end process. Coming from a charity background, you will be very comfortable with statutory accounting, SORP and Excel.
