Your new company
Hays Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working with a leading Belfast Studio in their search for a Junior to Intermediate level Interior Designer to join their team. An established, multi-disciplinary practice having operated across NI & RoI for over 60 years, they operate across most sectors and have developed an enviable industry name for technical delivery and expertise. The creation of this position is the direct result of sustained growth and expansion, and offers the successful person an excellent opportunity to bring their career to the next level, with access to both residential and commercial workload, impressive projects and compelling clients. Equally, eye-catching is the fact that they have offered hybrid working as standard since well before the pandemic, and are known for progressive pay reviews and supported working, including CPD & learning opportunities for their staff.
Your new role
As a Junior to Intermediate Interior Designer, you'll report directly to the Interiors Lead and work within a multi-disciplinary environment, with skilled and experienced colleagues across a range of project types including hotels, hospitality, offices, residential and more. You'll be tasked with developing schemes based on in-depth analysis of client's briefs and compile mood-boards, material specifications and conduct research to ensure concepts are informed and thorough. Utilising 2D & 3D software, you'll produce visualisations, space-plans, presentation lay-outs and final specification drawings for procurement. This is a versatile position that will see you attend design meetings, liaise with clients / colleagues / third parties to develop concepts and be part of the interior aspects progress from page to delivery, troubleshooting changes or fixes on live schemes.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll have a degree within Interior Design / Furniture or Product Design / Architecture / Construction or other relevant subject, with 1-3 years practical experience working within an Interiors or Construction related field. You should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD & SketchUP, with additional Revit abilities an advantage but non-essential. You should have excellent presentation skills and a creative approach to communication design ideas and solutions. It is expected that you'll be competent in the use of Adobe & MS Office suites, with 3D rendering skills and a full UK Driving licence.
What you'll get in return
This is a compelling opportunity for an Interior Designer to seize a permanent position with an esteemed Architectural Practice, within their interiors division at an exciting time of growth and development. Along with upskilling & CPD opportunities, you'll avail of the organisations hybrid working policy (which has been in place long before COVID) and progressive remuneration package (dependant on experience level). The office itself is a vibrant working space, and based outside of city centre so you avoid the hustle & bustle (and traffic!) on a relatively simple commute. This should appeal to those who feel stifled or pigion-holed in their current job, and should be seen as a long-term career transition to a company renowned for staff retention & development of talent.
