Job description

The Project Development Intern will support site origination and development of distributed solar and solar + Storage projects for ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) business in the United States. They will work on discrete tasks to support land  acquisition, permitting, environmental review, and other aspects of solar energy and  storage Project Development to ultimately fulfill the company's renewable energy 

aspirations and growth strategy within North America. An ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills and an aptitude for juggling a variety of simultaneous tasks, all while demonstrating a positive and professional attitude.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support development activities in early, mid and late stage for both greenfield and projects that are acquired through the DSS Business Development Team
  • Manage both internal and external subject matter experts to complete all
  • land acquisition, environmental, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection,  real estate and design activities 
  • Assist Senior developer organize meetings with customers, landowners, and local/state/regional stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events, conferences, policy/advocacy group meetings and other local events 
  • Support activities related M&A opportunities originated by the DSS Business Development Team
  • Prepare and Support the preparation and presentation for project/market reviews 
  • both at both the DSS level and Global level management committees
  • Support the development of new tools and trackers to manage development progress and data
  • Assist in creating a more thorough budget tracking system for development team. 
  • Support the developers manage their workflow by maintaining thorough meeting logs and action items
  • Coordinate and support third-party consultants for various services. 

 

What you bring:

  • A junior or senior enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • You communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • You enjoy handling multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Desire to learn about partnership and joint venture agreements
  • Confident in utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Taking initiative and ownership of projects

  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Compensation 

 

Salary Range:  $21.00-$34.00 USD, hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
