The essentials
Salary: £29,431 - £40,286 plus a great range of benefits
Locations: Edinburgh, Bristol
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working pattern: At least two days per week at one of our office sites (so you’ll need to be able to commute to one of the locations above)
Starting: September 2024
What you'll be doing:
A series of placements will give you a fantastic overview of our business, and teach you the finer points of an auditor's role. You'll learn how we measure and manage all kinds of different risks and ensure we have the right measures in place to keep our customers and our organisation protected.
On the Business side, you’ll get to spend time with our Retail Banking, Insurance and Commercial teams. And on the Risk side, the various specialist areas – like Data, Finance and Cyber Security – that keep things running smoothly,
What you’ll get:
As well as the support and funding to achieve your Level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner apprenticeship, we’ll help you work towards a Level 7 Apprenticeship in Internal Audit Management and Consultancy.

What you’ll need:
At least 112 UCAS points (or equivalent). If you live in England or Wales, this means GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent). If you don’t have these grades, a willingness to complete Functional Skills in Maths and English to bring you up to speed.
If you live in Scotland, this means:
- National 5 qualifications in English and Maths at grades 1 or above (or equivalent).
- If you don’t have these, you’ll need to complete a Maths and English qualification alongside your apprenticeship.
It’s not just about exam results, however. We’re also looking for an inquisitive mind, great team working skills and an eagerness to learn too. If you’re a problems solver with an eye for detail, who takes pride in their work, this could be the perfect opportunity.
