Location: Royal Mail, 185 Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1AA. This is a Hybrid working role with some expectation of National Travel as and when the business requires.

As an Internal Communications Business Partner, you will be responsible for building robust communications programmes, delivering results, and operating at a variety of stakeholder levels. About the role
You’ll manage Internal Communications for our corporate functions, working in close cooperation with project leaders from a range of functional areas. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to develop and deploy creative and engaging communication plans, unafraid to challenge senior leaders when necessary to ensure the employee voice remains at the heart of the project.
You may also be required to work with other areas of the business as workflow requires, in a Business Partnering capacity. To be successful you will need to get know our operational network and culture quickly.
You’ll enjoy working autonomously but can draw on the support and skills of the wider Internal Communications team, whilst also ensuring relevant project information is shared across the Corporate Affairs function.
This role will report into Internal Communications, forming part of a new team focused on the delivery of transformation and change.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll have the following skills and experience:
- You will be a professional Internal Communications Business Partner with demonstrable experience of building robust communications programs, delivering results and operating at a variety of stakeholder levels.
- Ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative with experience in developing relevant content for a diverse, remote, and mobile workforce.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, including the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels effectively. An understanding of industrial relations would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of delivering and developing Internal Communications for a large complex organisation.
- Experience of leading and influencing colleagues to communicate how we are delivering complex change and transformation, and support colleagues, so they are clear on the reasons why and the role they play.
- Highly organised with the ability to operationalise strategic plans through effective project management.
- Ability to absorb and apply complex information from multiple areas of the business.
- Familiarity with core internal communication tools such as Poppulo and Workplace is desirable.
