In this role you will shape and delivery the Get Set UK Internal Communications strategy, ensuring we are effectively and creativity engaging our teams. We’re a growing team of 200, with employees located across a number of offices and home-based, up and down the country. This newly created role sits within a small but ambitious marketing team, supported by the Head of Marketing.

- You have a proven track record in Internal Communications, with experience in developing and implementing successful communication strategies and campaigns.
- You possess strong writing skills, with a keen eye for detail in proofreading and editing.
- You have strong verbal communication abilities, capable of engaging with diverse audiences including senior management.
- You are experienced in coordinating and managing internal events from start to finish.
- You are proficient in project management, juggling multiple tasks.
- You are comfortable using data insights to shape and refine communication strategies.

Your day-to-day job.
- Define and execute an Internal Communications strategy that mirrors Get Set UK’s strategy, vision, and brand.
- Lead the management of core communication channels, including internal email, the intranet, office screens etc.
- Find innovative ways to engage our people.
- Manage production and content creation for various Internal Communications, such as employee monthly newsletter, leadership strategy bulletins etc.
- Coordinate communications for strategic internal events, focused on high turn out rates, post event feedback and shaping future events.
- Work closely with the marketing team to re-use and repurpose content, collaborate on new ideas and ensure the Get Set UK brand and messages are consistent and coherent across all stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Human Resources (People) team to reinforce employer branding, talent & L&D initiatives, and internal campaigns including promotion of employee benefits.
- Collaborate with managers to support and communicate their own initiatives effectively such as office social events.
- Establish and manage metrics for communication channel effectiveness, optimising engagement, and ROI.
Impact on the community.
Increased employee engagement within Get Set UK by supporting greater message cut-through with clearer, simpler, and more regular communications. Improvement to change management with business updates on new and existing programmes, team structure changes and storytelling around customer success. Improved teamwork and understanding to help build a stronger work culture with one clear vision. Purpose-driven messaging to improve employee satisfaction and retention and greater communication of strategic goals, direction, and progress.
Experience & qualifications.
- Solid and demonstrable experience within Internal Communications.
- Experience of working in a dispersed organisation with multi sites and remote workers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in using a range of internal communication channels and creating engaging written and multimedia content.
- Experience in creating a range of engaging employee campaigns, with positive measurable outcomes.
- Experience in building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in supporting virtual, hybrid and in-person events.
- Attention to details and high level of accuracy.
- Collaboration, deadline management and strong organisation skills.
- Experience if using AI would be desirable.
- Basic usage of Canva or similar tools to create visually appealing content is desirable.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and MS365 is desirable.
