Job details
We provide our students with an exceptional educational experience, produce high calibre graduates and life changing research that enhances the lives and prospects of communities across the North West, the UK and globally.
We are looking for an Internal Communications Officer – a content creator that helps keep our internal audiences (colleagues and students) well informed, engaged with the university, and proud to work or study here.
As a writer, you will be able to turn your hand to writing factually or creatively as and when needed, across any channel - from scripts and slides to blog posts, website content and FAQs. You’ll champion our clear and down to earth tone of voice, writing for your audience in their language, without jargon or fuss.
You must also be confident in supporting the team with producing a range of content – from short videos to photography, social media messages, graphics and website content, as well as administration including producing monthly metrics to measure our performance. Experience of publishing content using SharePoint is ideal but not necessary.
The successful candidate must have a degree qualification in communications, marketing, media or a creative discipline.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is temporary maternity leave cover and is based on campus in Preston city centre, with occasional home working.
