Internal Communications Officer

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a London University in search of a temporary Internal Communications Officer for a period of 3 months.
This role offers an umbrella rate for £24.50 an hour and operates on hybrid basis.
The interviews for the role are being held on the 13th and 14th of June with the expected start date of of June.
Key responsibilities of the temporary Internal Communications Officer:

• Contribute to the writing and editing of the organisations e-newsletters, including the weekly and monthly newsletters. Write news stories and upload them to the staff intranet using the Content Management System.
  
• Support the Senior Communications Officer (Staff and Stakeholders) with the production of other staff newsletters including those covering Senior Leadership Team members remits (Research, Education & Student Experience)
  
• Support the management of the staff intranet, working with staff across the University to help them create new pages, along with the Web Content Team, as well as Sharepoint Communication Sites and other digital channels including Viva Engage.
  
• Work with colleagues in Human Resources to communicate the organisations Vision and Strategy, staff development, training and career progression, reward and recognition, equality and diversity and the staff experience.
  
• Assist with the organisation of staff engagement events and opportunities.
  
• Promote the Communications and Events team as well as the whole Marketing and External Relations department to the rest of the University.
  

Previous experience and skills of the temporary Internal Communications Officer:

• Experience working in a higher education Internal Communications team.
  
• Experience in creating staff newsletter and writing news stories for the intranet.
