We are recruiting a talented Internal Communications Officer to join our team, to create and deliver engaging communications to keep internal audiences well informed. You will also encourage and support our staff to share news and best practice across the organisation, using a variety of different platforms.
The Role:
You will be an exceptional Internal Communications professional who wants to help us to consistently raise standards and drive engagement in everything we do.
Your role will be to work with people leading change and organisational improvement, to make sure it is communicated effectively and in ever more creative ways.
This role will create and manage dynamic campaigns for primarily internal audiences and will also work on external content to promote the work of the Council. This includes some responsibility for an exciting portfolio area and a key focus on diversity and inclusion.
Through great storytelling you will articulate the role our staff play in making Kensington and Chelsea a greener, safer, and fairer borough and you will be instrumental in helping us connect with our communities.

About You:
You will have excellent copy writing skills with the ability to create clear and compelling content for our staff, Lead Members and Councillors. Liaison with HR and Organisational Development teams will help to ensure new programmes, events and initiatives are well communicated and promoted across the Council.
With excellent attention to detail you will have a strong track record in developing communications which stand out, increase staff engagement and make complex policy decisions more accessible. You will have a good understanding of organisational change and transformation.
This role also requires strong digital skills including use of SharePoint, photography, video, web, streaming, podcasts, and picture editing. An interest in new technology for management of staff communications is a must.
You will be a great team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently with staff at all levels.
