Internal Sales - Builders Merchant

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Internal Sales person to join a leading Builders Merchant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the builder’s merchant sector and will be responsible for driving sales, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Proactively generate sales.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and timely responses.
• Close sales deals and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Welcome and assist customers, both in-person and over the phone.
• Identify customer needs and provide expert advice on products and services.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product range, including features, benefits, and applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new product developments.
• Offer technical support and product advice to customers.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales data.
• Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.
• Support the preparation of promotional materials and in-store displays.
• Work closely with other sales team members and departments to achieve overall company goals.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.

  
Requirements
  

• Proven sales experience, within the Builders Merchant industry.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections.

Full-time position with working hours Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00, and alternate Saturdays, 08:00 - 12:00.
  
Salary: up to £50,000.
