Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate sales.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and timely responses.
- Close sales deals and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Welcome and assist customers, both in-person and over the phone.
- Identify customer needs and provide expert advice on products and services.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product range, including features, benefits, and applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new product developments.
- Offer technical support and product advice to customers.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales data.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Support the preparation of promotional materials and in-store displays.
- Work closely with other sales team members and departments to achieve overall company goals.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience, within the Builders Merchant industry.
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections.
Salary: up to £50,000.
