Internal Systems Administrator – The Role:
We are seeking an Internal Systems Administrator to provide hands-on IT support for KHIPU’s internal staff and systems.
The Internal Systems Administrator will be responsible for KHIPU’s internal IT systems. The successful candidate will maintain the operation and ongoing development of the company’s internal IT systems and infrastructure.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Internal Systems Administrator – Key Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, and administration of:
- Microsoft (Server 2012/2016/2019) and Linux (Ubuntu) deployments on VMWare
- VMWare vSphere (v7, ideally good knowledge of vCenter)
- Maintaining underlying storage for vSphere environment (iSCSI and RAID systems)
- Office365, Azure, AWS configuration and administration
- Data backup and archiving
- Telephony system, currently 3CX
- MFA, currently OKTA SSO platform
- On premise Exchange Hybrid environment
- Active Directory
- Administration of the company’s Professional Services Automation system, currently HaloPSA
Security:
- Patch and vulnerability management across the whole internal Systems estate
- Work directly with senior management and security team to ensure the company’s internal infrastructure is secure
- Work with colleagues across the company to prepare for audits such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials as well as assist with company tenders
Other:
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Assisting other technical departments with the internal deployments of services, for example integration of systems with Active Directory
- Responsible for architecting and designing of the internal infrastructure, pulling expertise from other technical departments where necessary
- Managing the company lab environment and assisting other technical departments with this as necessary
- Office Facilities, such as managing Access Control, video conferencing and CCTV devices
- Orchestration and automation experience would be desirable
- Perform regular trend analysis to identify base line performance, capacity planning etc
- Create scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required
- Drive the development and maintenance of the Internal Systems
- Provide Third-line support to Internal staff
- Complete regular training to keep up to date with products and solutions, as well as approved technical techniques and other company processes including regulatory requirements
Internal Systems Administrator – You:
Qualifications:
- Relevant industry qualifications e.g. Microsoft, Linux, VMWare
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
Skills & Attributes:
- An interest in technology and an appetite to develop and grow
- Keenness and aptitude for working both with a team and alone
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent Telephone Manner
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Good planning, multi-tasking and organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Can-do attitude
