Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a International Business Development Manager to join our Strategy team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £65k.

The International Business Development Manager, based in London, UK, will be responsible for leading the growth of Cleveland Clinic’s international patient business. The role will develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including embassies, health offices, international medical insurance providers, medical tourism agencies in the UK and abroad, and other international hospitals.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating referral pathways and driving strategic initiatives to increase patient referrals and enhance Cleveland Clinic’s (CC) presence in the global healthcare market. The initial, primary focus of the role will be to support Cleveland Clinic London’s (CCL) International Business growth.
The International Business Development manager dually reports to the Head of Business Development and Head of Global Patient Services, based locally in CCL and has oversight by the Senior Director of Global Patient Services (GPS) in the global team based in the US.
What will your duties include?
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow Cleveland Clinic’s International Business, specifically in referral networks, in alignment with organisational goals and objectives
  • Identify and engage medical tourism agencies in the UK and internationally to facilitate patient referrals and drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate international stakeholder engagements with Senior Director of GPS and Chairman, Global Patient Services in key markets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and patient demographics to identify new referral networks and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Represent Cleveland Clinic at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to promote brand awareness, foster professional connection
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with embassies, health offices, and international medical insurance providers to promote Cleveland Clinic locations as a preferred healthcare destination for medical tourism.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise GPS and other departments, to ensure seamless onboarding and patient care delivery for their key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders to provide updates on Business Development activities and progress.
What we need from you?
  • Demonstrable track record of one or more roles in healthcare International Business Development is essential
  • Proven track record of success in international referral network development is essential, preferably within the healthcare or medical tourism industry
  • Prior experience in working with embassies and departments of health is essential
  • Demonstrable track record of commercial negotiation and partnership development is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, Excel or Powerpoint) essential
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of international healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and referral processes.
