We are recruiting a new International Project Officer on behalf of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM), a leading institution committed to advancing emergency medicine globally.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with experience in international development as you will support a global training programme spanning Pakistan, India, Ghana, Uganda, Syria, Turkey and Sierra Leone.
Within this busy role you will be involved in the following duties:
- Coordinate new international programs
- Provide administrative support
- Manage project timelines and deliverables
- Act as a liaison between the RCEM and international partners
- Assist in the smooth functioning of the MTI (Medical Training Initiative)
- Support Foundation programs in India and Pakistan
- Coordinate webinars
- Facilitate postgraduate and e-learning initiatives
- Manage relationships with UK clinicians who support in the assessment process
- Managing stakeholder relationships with the following :
- RCEM Members
- Clinicians
- Medical International Partners
Please note it is likely you and the team will be required to visit 3 countries throughout the year (3-5 nights per visit). It is also likely this fixed term contract will be extended, funding permitting.
To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:
- Professional background with some International Project support experience
- Experience working in international development
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in a cross-cultural context
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Sensitivity in communicating with diverse stakeholders
