We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Inventory Accountant AP Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and controlling inventory valuation and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations, and Ad Hoc Reporting. If you have a knack for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for financial accuracy, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Inventory Accountant AP Specialist, you will be tasked with: Daily entry of receiving and perform inventory adjustments in ERP system.
Review inventory records for accuracy, investigate questionable items and any inventory issue.
Reconcile ERP inventory with outside warehouses monthly.
Review warehouse Overage, Shortage& Damage activities on a quarterly basis at least.
Assist in month-end closing, preparing journal entries, researching and resolving any account variances.
Assist in balancing all Corporate Warehouse Inventory GL accounts for month end.
Maintain ERP Item Master when necessary – Assist the Master Data and NPI Team to set up new/existing items in JDE.
Assist with processing credits, error reports, customer returns, Freight/Warehouse Claims, misc. billing and manual invoices for Purchasing Department and Warehousing.
Assist in providing documentation to external audits, JSOX and other internal inquiries.
Prepare monthly brokerage and allowances files, understand the advanced pricing and the brokerage process, research and resolve brokerage-related problems.
Maintain financial security by following JSOX and financial audit procedures.
Assist in process documentation, workflows and process improvements. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Inventory Accountant AP Lead position should have the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business concentration.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Inventory Accounting.
3. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
4. Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
6. Experience in credit processing and handling customer returns.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
