Inventory Control Analyst Main purpose of the job:
The primary responsibilities of this role will be to work collaboratively with operations and supply chain team to ensure inventory integrity, administrate the cycle counting process, recording and root causing issues and support inventory optimization and working capital initiatives.
Main missions and results:
- Plans, organizes and conducts activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of IAC Elmdon as well as the IAC Group.
- Reports deviations from the standard and takes corrective actions.
- Reports and takes action to achieve KPIs.
- Administratively support cycle counting activities by creating ABC reports and scheduling the daily counts in accordance with planned numbers to achieve group policy targets.
- Support supply chain and operations in delivering detailed yearly stock take and subsequent variance analysis and updating ERP system as required (write on and write offs).
- Review ABC categories regularly to ensure up to date.
- Update and report on cycle count performance, work with supply chain manager to mitigate any shortfalls to plan.
- Review supply chain dashboard performance and work with relevant team members to review and correct. Monitor trends and agree improvement actions.
- Review non-nettable inventory and agree corrections or mitigating actions.
- Update MRP planning parameters if found to be incorrect or for new set ups.
- Analyze excess and aged inventory and agree actions with relevant stakeholders with inputs from supply chain manager.
- Participate in weekly inventory reduction reviews taking ownership for specific actions as designated from the review.
- Update stock KPI's, days on hand, stock availability OTIF and report and highlight variances
- Work with stakeholders to disposition redundant and damaged stock
- Ensure accurate stock receipts, picking, packing and consumption highlighting related discrepancies to relevant stakeholders
- Work with logistics, supply chain and group to ensure supply chain BASIaCs processes are adhered to
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- • 2 - 3 years' inventory or supply chain experience working within a manufacturing planning environment.
- Has experience of cycle counting and inventory management experience.
- Formal qualification in logistics or supply chain management (MCIPS, IoSCM or APICs or comparable education and expertise in Inventory Control methods supported with wider knowledge of supply chain practices.
- Understanding of inventory optimization and working capital
- A detail-oriented professional with extensive MRP knowledge and good communication skills
- Numerical and analytical in approach
- Works well as a team player
- Ability to priorities and work with several tasks simultaneously
- Hands-on with a pragmatic approach
- Understanding of problem-solving tools and methodologies, root cause analysis and trend analysis
- Understanding of Quality, Business and OEM systems/standards
- Self-starter, with an enthusiastic approach and “positive attitude”
