We have an exciting opportunity to become a team member key of a world leading Supply Chain team in the hospitality industry. You will beresponsible for Inventory Control and purchase order processing for EU/UK/Far East suppliers to stock levels as dictated by demand and in conjunction with working capital controls. The Role:
- To monitor stock levels using Excel based forecasting models by stock ABC category and by supplier on a daily/weekly basis as appropriate and place orders with EU/UK/Far East suppliers according to requirements.
- To ensure goods are ordered in line with prior year data and available forecasting information.
- Report on slow and obsolete stock monthly for appropriate suppliers returning excess stock where appropriate.
- To manage stock levels within the company working capital targets.
- To manage alternative suppliers as appropriate for key stock lines but within the appropriate costs and lead-times.
- To provide relevant suppliers with stock forecasts (wins and losses) for key stock lines.
- Targets: Stock reduction / SKU reduction / First Time in Full.
- To participate in twice yearly stock takes.
- Recommend changes to existing systems to improve stock availability Maintain CPNP database.
Purchasing:
- To place orders with suppliers for stock ABC lines, Bespoke Lines and On Demand Lines.
- Maximise savings with key suppliers by ordering in appropriate MOQ/MOV to ensure quantity breaks are achieved.
- To purchase bespoke products based on Customer Back Orders.
- Ensure familiarity with key suppliers as regards manufacturing / shipping lead-times and ensure cost changes are communicated to Commercial Team.
