Inventory Manager - Southampton - 45,000 + bonus - Full time hours - On site

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inventory Manager to join a leading global luxury brand in Southampton.
You will need to enjoy working in a hands-on role where you are also responsible for managing a team to achieve their full potential and continuously striving to deliver excellence.
This role requires someone with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and experience within inventory/stock control or warehouse management.

Inventory Manager duties include:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert for the department and wider business.
  • Keep the Management Team informed of Department developments including ,department successes, risks, issues, and project updates.
  • Manage the flow of picking and distributing parts to internal and external workshops.
  • Proactively review and report on internal and external usage of sales accessories and spare parts.
  • Establish stock management protocol based on Spare Parts usage analysis, consistent with internal and external service volumes.
  • Collaborate with head office to manage spare parts availability and stock.
  • Manage routine "Return to Brand" stock cycles and ensure completion.
  • Ensure pricing updates for relevant materials are carried out in line with required timescales.
  • Ensure all relevant Health & Safety standards are adhered to, championing safety at work.
  • Take responsibility for reporting on and meeting departmental KPI's.
  • Champion continuous development of the department by leading and facilitating ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimise productivity through effective planning and people management.
  • Coach and mentor employees to ensure their professional growth and success.
  • Ensure efficient and timely completion of all people-related activities, such as performance reviews, recruitment, and disciplinaries.

Experience and skills required.

  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Experience in people management, including coaching and development.
  • Previous experience in Spare Parts/Warehouse Manager role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of customs import/export regulations.
  • Good data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
  • Previous experience implementing and utilising 5s methodology.
  • Experience working in the Manufacturing / Electronics or industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
